An Important Message to Our Patients and Customers
Dear Transcend Medical Family,
It is with a heavy heart that we share some very difficult news with you.
Due to circumstances beyond our control involving a Medicare regulatory matter, Transcend Medical is facing the possibility of having to temporarily cease business operations. Despite our best efforts to resolve this situation, the financial impact has become so severe that we can no longer continue operating as we have in the past.
For more than 50 years, our mission has been to help people live better, breathe easier, and maintain their independence. We have always believed that we are more than a medical equipment company. We are a group of people who genuinely care about our patients and the families who depend on us.
Many of you have trusted us with your care for years. You have welcomed our employees into your homes, shared your stories with us, and allowed us to be part of your journey. That trust has meant more to us than you may ever know.
This is not the way we wanted our story to unfold, and we are deeply sorry for the uncertainty and inconvenience this situation may cause.
Our first concern is your safety and well-being. If you rely on oxygen, ventilator support, or other medically necessary equipment, please do not wait until you run out of supplies or experience an equipment problem to seek assistance. Contact your prescribing healthcare provider and another qualified medical equipment supplier to discuss arrangements for continued service. If you experience a medical emergency, call 911.
Our ability to provide equipment, supplies, repairs, and other services may be limited during this period. We want to be honest about those limitations rather than promise something we may not be able to deliver.
We are continuing to explore every reasonable avenue to resolve this situation, and we sincerely hope we may be able to serve our community again in the future. Although we cannot promise what the future holds, we have not forgotten the people who made Transcend Medical what it is today.
Thank you for allowing us the privilege of serving you and your family. It has been an honor to be part of your lives, and we are grateful for the friendships, kindness, and trust you have shown our team throughout the years.

This letter is to confirm that Lobo Home Health dba Transcend Medical has experienced a Medicare supplier enrollment and payment disruption that has significantly affected our ability to continue normal operations and provide ongoing durable medical equipment (DME) services to our patients.
As a result of these circumstances, some of our patients may need to transfer their equipment, supply, respiratory care, or other medically necessary DME services to another qualified supplier to maintain continuity of care.
The patient identified above may present this letter to a receiving supplier as an explanation of the circumstances surrounding the requested transfer from Transcend Medical.
We respectfully ask that the receiving supplier and Medicare consider these circumstances when reviewing the patient's transition and any associated claims. We understand that the receiving supplier remains responsible for meeting all applicable Medicare coverage, documentation, order, and billing requirements.
Our primary concern is the continued safety and well-being of the patients we have served. We appreciate the assistance of other suppliers in helping patients obtain the equipment and services they need during this difficult situation.
