Wheelchairs are often described by seat width, seat depth, and weight capacity. Those measurements matter, but they do not tell the whole story. Before the fitting is complete, patients and caregivers should feel comfortable asking whether the chair supports the user’s most important daily activities, how pressure relief will be managed, and what adjustments can be made if the fit changes.
