The first weeks at home are a learning period. Practice driving in open areas, turning near doorways, approaching tables, and using seating functions with guidance. Caregivers should understand charging, basic cleaning, and what to do if the chair is not operating as expected. Reliable support after setup is just as valuable as the equipment itself.

Questions to Bring to a Wheelchair Evaluation

Before an evaluation, it can help to write down concerns that are easy to forget during an appointment. Consider these questions:

  • Which daily activities are hardest because of limited mobility or fatigue?

  • Will the chair be used mainly indoors, outdoors, or both?

  • Who will help with transfers, charging, maintenance, and transportation?
